Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel invoked “eternal truths” in a message of solidarity to India, following a deadly attack in Delhi that killed eight people. The Israeli leader’s statement to Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a powerful mix of condolence and defiance.
“India and Israel are ancient civilisations that stand on eternal truths,” Netanyahu said. He used this shared heritage as a foundation for his core message: “Terror may strike our cities, but it will never shake our souls.” He affirmed that the “unyielding spirit” of both nations would endure.
The blast, which occurred on Monday near the Red Fort, is being investigated as a major terror incident. Netanyahu, speaking also for his wife Sara, offered “deepest condolences to the families of the victims” and assured India that “Israel stands strong with you.”
The Israeli Prime Minister’s message portrayed the struggle against terror as a battle of light and dark. “The light of our nations will outshine the darkness of our enemies,” he stated, offering a message of ultimate victory and hope.
Indian investigators are now working to uncover the network behind the attack. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been handed the case and has formed a dedicated team. The probe is focused on a suspected Jaish-e-Mohammad module responsible for the car blast.
