In a separate development, the commission expressed its apprehension regarding proposed amendments to the referendum voting process. Concerns were raised that the proposed adjustments might lead to an increase in the number of invalid ballots, potentially delay the vote counting process until the following day, and pose challenges in recruiting sufficient polling staff.
