Japanese entertainment superstar Takuya Kimura is set to embark on a new chapter of his musical journey with the announcement of his “Takuya Kimura Live Tour 2026 Checkpoint.” This tour is a milestone in Kimura’s career, as it includes his inaugural solo performances outside Japan. Scheduled for November 13 and 14, the concerts will take place at the Taipei Music Center, coinciding with Kimura’s 54th birthday, adding a personal touch to the overseas debut.
The tour will encompass nine shows across five cities, starting from September 9 and concluding on November 23. Aside from the landmark Taipei dates, Kimura will also perform in Hyogo, Fukuoka, and Chiba in Japan, as well as in Seoul. The Taiwan concerts hold particular importance for Kimura as they fulfill long-standing requests from his international fanbase, marking the first time he takes his solo act beyond Japan’s borders.
In tandem with the tour, Kimura is gearing up for the release of a new original album titled “Checkpoint” this summer. This album is pivotal for Kimura as it represents a fresh phase in his music career, aiming to deepen his connection with his fans. The artist emphasized that this project is not just about sharing his music but also about reinforcing the bond he shares with his audience globally.
