High school students from Taiwan have emerged victorious at two prestigious international science competitions, showcasing their exceptional talent. At the International Biology Olympiad held in Lithuania, the Taiwanese team achieved a remarkable feat by winning four gold medals. Competing against over 300 students from 78 different countries, all four participants from Taiwan succeeded in securing gold, marking a perfect sweep in the biology contest.

Meanwhile, at the International Chemistry Olympiad in Uzbekistan, Taiwanese students continued to demonstrate their scientific prowess. The chemistry team earned a commendable third-place ranking globally. The students’ impressive performance was highlighted by three gold medals and one silver, reaffirming Taiwan’s strong presence in the field of international academic competitions.

The Taiwanese Ministry of Education expressed pride in the students’ achievements and emphasized the significance of such international contests in fostering scientific talent.
